Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum High School diploma - Experience with automotive schedule attainment - Experience with scheduling and producing WIP assemblies - 7-10 years related experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably automotive - Knowledge of Quality standards IATF 16949 - Leadership experience an asset - 7-10 years' experience with data collection and analysis - Proven ability to motivate teams to achieve high standards and accomplish set outcomes

Essential Functions:
- Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook. - Mentor and guide the team unit - Provide hands-on leadership - Ensure that the production area of responsibility is producing a good quality part at appropriate rates - Analyze scrap data to identify and correct manufacturing problems - Ensure production area meets or exceeds labor standards - Ensure the attainment of daily production schedules - Maintain production related records - Provide continuous improvement ideas - Oversee and ensure employees are provided with training on all aspects of the job - Communicate and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures - Initiate corrective actions to the Managers and follow up on recommendations for correcting defects - Conducts Operator performance appraisals and issues employee coaching/disciplines - Ensure that all machine/equipment are fully manned when scheduled - Ensures pre-start inspections are conducted and makes sure that all areas are tidy and organized - Assists in the production planning process - Ensures plant security - Respecting and understanding of the Customer/supplier relationship - Adopt a common sense approach to identifying and addressing problems and control weaknesses
Working Conditions
- Majority of work will be on the Plant Floor (PPE required) - Some office environment
