Here, you will make an impact by:Providing services for Ambulatory CDI including risk adjustment, outpatient and/or professional coding and regulatory auditing, training and advisory services, revenue cycle and denial management process improvement, as well as process redesign, change management, and recommended staffing for existing HIM outpatient and Professional codingLeading auditing tasks of medical record coding, documentation, compliance based on outpatient and/or physician payment methodologies.Delivering remote WebEx and/or onsite education and training for clients on coding, documentation, compliance and working with related 3M products and consulting service delivery, as well as specialty programs related to individual areas of expertise for client and staffAssisting with content update and revision of internal and external training materialReviewing medical records for completeness and accuracy for outpatient and physician payment models while adhering to all coding and clinical documentation improvement guidelinesSupporting innovation for Ambulatory Consulting Services in the creation of new servicesYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors Degree or higher from (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionORHigh School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and eleven (11) years of clinical healthcare experience or healthcare consulting.Three (3) years of outpatient and/or professional clinical coding experienceThree (3) years of ambulatory/professional revenue cycle experienceAbility to travel up to 75% of the timeAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Currently obtain one of the following certifications: RHIA AND/OR RHITDemonstrate knowledge of ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding, CPT-4/HCPCS coding, HCCs, APCs, RVUs, documentation opportunities, and clinical documentation requirementsRecognized CDI credential from ACDIS (CCDS-O) or AHIMA (CDIP)AAPC risk adjustment certificationAbility to solve problems in a logical, methodical, and time efficient mannerAnalytical skills related to independently interpreting, preparing, and analyzing dataExperience with telecommuting, working with EMRs and other electronic toolsAbility to work with multiple and diverse clients and projectsAttention to detail, highly organized, with an absolute focus on quality of workProven ability to work independently and produce excellent resultsKnowledgeable in 3M HIS software portfolio (360 Encompass)Work location:REMOTE USATravel: May include up to 50% domestic and possible internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Certain job positions within 3M require workers to work in the presence of others within certain geographies and/or at third-party locations.
