Provides customer service and administrative support for the Human Resources (HR) Department.
- Provides customer service and reception functions, including greeting and assisting visitors, answering and screening incoming calls, answering general inquiries, and referring calls and correspondence to the appropriate person or office.
- Performs a variety of administrative functions in support of HR including filing, scanning, and completing employment verifications.
- Provides administrative support to department leadership as needed, including scheduling and organizing meetings, managing and prioritizing calendars, and coordinating training and travel as needed.
- Assists in updating and maintaining HR databases.
- Handles documents that may contain confidential information.
- Prepares and types detailed and special correspondence, memoranda, and other documents.
- Receives and distributes mail to include date stamping and sorting as appropriate; signs for deliveries and ensures packages are securely stored.
- Submits IT and facilities-related requests on behalf of the department.
- Coordinates department vehicle reservations and maintenance requests; maintains mileage log.
- Assists with special projects as requested.
- Performs other duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
- Two years of administrative experience in an office environment is required.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and be able to communicate and work effectively with County employees, outside vendors, and the public.
- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and presentations.
- Must be organized and possess the ability to manage multiple tasks and reprioritize as work situations change.
- Must possess a high level of attention to detail.
- Must be honest, truthful, trustworthy, and possess a high degree of personal integrity.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
