Job Description:

Supports the Director(s) of the Human Resources Department and performs administrative functions for the department.

Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Performs administrative support functions for the Director(s) of Human Resources, which includes screening visitors and phone calls, providing information, taking messages, or directing calls to appropriate personnel for processing.

  • Schedules meetings on behalf of the director(s) and manages calendar. Takes minutes for meetings as assigned, type’s correspondence and/or distributes documents.

  • Organizes and coordinates meetings and special projects (i.e. Forums, Blood Drive, United Way Campaign and PPC Meetings) for the Director(s) as requested.

  • Runs reports from HRIS, maintains various department spreadsheets and calendars such as: contact lists, phone tree, HR Birthday list, paid time off. Assists in drafting various reports for the directors.

  • Responsible for all purchasing for human resources department through Purchase Connection. Ensures supply closets is adequately stocked through Office Depot.

  • Acts as program personnel coordinator for the community resources and IT offices at Brookville by communicating information regarding policy, procedures and benefits.

  • Assists the personnel, recruiting, and benefits departments with projects as necessary and as assigned by the Director(s).

  • Distributes incoming and outgoing mail for the H.R. Department in Brookville, as well as, serves as a back-up for switchboard.

  • Performs all other related duties as requested by supervisor.

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Two (2) years or more of college preferred.

  • Excellent organizational and communications skills required.

  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications, with intermediate to advanced level MS Word and Excel skills.

  • Prior human resources experience preferred.

  • Previous HRIS or similar database systems experience a plus.
