Job Description:

Responsible for all financial transactions for all components of IFAS ANSERV Labs such as processing of cash deposits, journal entries, invoice payments, purchasing requisitions and contracts, PCards, employee reimbursements and travel authorization and expense reports; reviewing all transactions at the point of processing for allowability, accuracy, completeness and compliance with internal, state, federal and sponsor guidelines; preparation of internal invoices for all ANSERV Labs clients, communicating to the research clients, purchase order management of research services and preparation of Payment Vouchers and Final Client Statements for research services. Serves as a unit contact and liaison to the public and other university departments.

Responsible for budget management, account reconciliation and expense monitoring for ANSERV Laboratories. Including monitoring and advising on available balances; reviewing monthly transaction detail for allowability, accuracy, and appropriateness using internal and monthly financial reports; reconciliation with purchases/inventory at the Labs; preparation of expenditure reports for all components of ANSERV Labs; providing regular accounting support, advisement, and data to the Director.

Responsible for the front desk customer support with answering phones, emails, greeting and help walk-in customers, ordering supplies, filing, provide secretarial support to the Director & maintaining Time and Labor records for lab employees.

Responsible for human resources transactions for all components of IFAS ANSERV Labs, including, but not limited to Time and Labor management: time entry when necessary, backup approving, reviewing preliminary and final payroll lists to ensure accuracy; prepares letters of offer, drafts position descriptions/announcements and initiates reclassifications and SPI requests; develops and establishes performance standards, accountability and provides general supervision to support staff; manages space allocations and completes the annual space allocation report for Lab.

Performs other related duties as required to ensure smooth, productive flow of operations.

Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Expected Salary:

$23.94 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of accounting records.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to compile, maintain and analyze fiscal data for accuracy and completeness.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Provide support and accounting data to the Director regularly.
