Position Details

Located in Houston, Texas; reporting to theManager, Accounts Payable, this position will be responsible for the accurate coding and entering of vendor invoices and internal check requests. The candidate should be able to work efficiently with a high degree of accuracy and will be required to communicate and work with both internal departments and outside vendors.This will initially be a contract position with the potential for permanent hire.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Accurately determine and enter coding for vendor invoices and internal check requests
• Scan invoices as needed into accounting system prior to coding and entering
• Verbal and written communications with internal departments and vendors as needed to process invoices and payments
• Perform analysis on vendors, invoices and payments as needed
• Assist with bi-weekly check processing
• Upload Spreadsheets
• Journal entries
• Review statements
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diplomarequired with at least some college preferred
• Minimum of3 years ofexperience as an Accounts Payable Processor with an E&P; company, includingcoding of invoices
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Strong attention to details
