Job Summary

Under limited supervision the Application Support Analyst is responsible for maintaining assigned applications and ensuring they remain fully operational and well-integrated into Company information technology (IT) environment. This includes monitoring issues that arise on a daily basis, designing and executing change requests from users or other OCIO departments, and daily incident resolution. This role requires good verbal and written communication skills, ability to troubleshoot issues, and technical/information system experience. Application knowledge is strongly preferred but not required. Additionally, this role provides analytical expertise to end users with the overall objective of improving the use of application functionality, i.e. enhance workflow, optimize business processes, and identify appropriate application solutions

Key Responsibilities

  • The Microsoft 365 Tenant Administrator is responsible for supporting efforts to maintain the stability of the enterprise Microsoft 365 (M365) tenant and related systems in service of key business functions

  • The primary area of responsibility for this position will be administering and maintaining M365 services, as well as providing engineering level support for end user and/or customer issues, at the direction of the M365 area technical lead

  • This includes, but is not limited to, the execution of daily maintenance tasks, generating reports, analyzing and summarizing system alerts, remediation of issues, incident management responsibilities, as well as the duties described below

  • Assist the M365 Lead in providing daily administration and operational support for the enterprise M365 environments

  • Be a subject matter expert, with a willingness to readily share knowledge with other team and organization members

  • Evaluate and make recommendations on new Microsoft technologies, assisting in the development of future strategies for M365 products and services

  • Apply ITIL fundamentals to all relevant processes including Incident and Change Management

  • Provide off-hours, on-call M365 support for a 24/7 global company

  • Engage with team members in efforts to eliminate service failings and to offer up solutions to improve the customer experience

  • Develops skills necessary to support assigned services and systems while learning the integration and interaction of all supported services and systems

  • Monitors the production-issue queue (ServiceNow) and resolves issues while maintaining our Customer Service Level Agreements

  • Manages customer relationships and follows incidents through to closure

  • Adheres to and enhances quality-assurance standards, systems development and delivery methodologies

  • Contributes to analysis relating to application build and functionality of systems to ensure reliability for current and/or future use

  • Communicates clearly, responsively, and purposely with customers and team members.

  • Develops effective relationships with users and other OCIO team members to enhance the timeliness and effectiveness of technology solutions

  • Seeks to improve talents and skills consistent with overall OCIO direction

  • Acts as a resource for members of the application teams

Management Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Speaks effectively, fosters open communication, listens to others, delivers presentations, and prepares written communications

  • Displays excellent interpersonal skills

  • 2+ years of Microsoft 365 tenant and application support and administration support, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Power Automate

  • 1+ years of Microsoft Azure cloud computing administration

  • Proficient in administration of Microsoft 365 platform applications and/or services

  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerShell scripts

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree Computer Science or related field OR equivalent work experience.

  • Four to six years related experience
