Description
General Purpose:
This position is to assist the team lead and to take over the team lead’s duties in the absence of the supervisor.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review daily production needs and organize any hot orders
- Review attendance and fill in for absent team members
- Start morning stretches and 5 minute meeting in absence of Supervisor and Team Lead.
- Walk through the line and respond to any problems with the start up, notify management if necessary
- Contact material handlers or stockroom for any needed material/supplies/parts
- Check production flow, make any adjustments if needed
- Perform morning break quality audits and samples for QA to perform break test
- Check samples and monitor production of all sample units
- Check to make sure repairs are ordered and daily production/parts are complete and ship trucks are clear
- Monitor team member safety and surrounding environment
- At end of shift make sure all machinery & lights are turned off
- Assist with training of new team members
- When the supervisor is absent the Team Lead steps into the supervisor role and the Area Lead steps into the Team Lead role
- Flexible schedule
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma, GED certificate
- Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications
- Ability to read and interpret regulations and policies in accordance with Company guidelines
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments and customers
- Ability to work flexible hours depending upon the needs of the department
