Lead the visual design of a project through a range of deliverables including event branding, communication design, wayfinding, signage, digital extensions, and presentations. There are also opportunities to lead visual communications for pitch work in pursuit of winning new business.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Executes medium to high complexity projects that are clearly understandable to all levels of stakeholders, through inclusive collaboration and clear communication.
Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of a successful design process.
Demonstrates the ability to create stories or describe ideas clearly through their visual communications.
Demonstrates core experience in graphic design, graphic design fundamentals, environmental graphic design, digital communications, extension of an existing brand, and ability to own a level of client communications and presentation materials.
Promotes brand consistency with concepts that support design objectives and creative concepts.
Creates branded graphics for physical and digital environments at various scales.
Works with design teams to facilitate packaging of final art files for stakeholder approval and print.
Coordinates with outside agencies, art services and printers as needed.
Collaborates with an interdisciplinary group of designers as well as stakeholders from other disciplines such as sales, marketing, operations and fabrication.
Participates in design planning for complex, multidisciplinary projects.
Actively participates in pin-ups, discovery sessions, and reviews.
Education & Experience
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or equivalent experience demonstrated by a strong portfolio.
8+ years of experience in creative agency, corporate marketing, environmental or architectural design firm.
