The Limestone University Art Program seeks a qualified candidate for the tenure track position of Assistant Professor Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design & Studio Art.
Limestone University is a small independent liberal arts university. The Art Program, with the collaboration of the Communications Program, offers a BA degree in Studio Art with an emphasis in Studio or Graphic Design. The ideal candidate will teach classes specific to Graphic Design, as well as a rotation of Art Appreciation and Studio Art classes according to experience (preferably Printmaking and Painting). The maximum teaching load is 30 contact hours per year. Other responsibilities include facilitating the annual Candelabra fine arts publication, maintaining office hours, advising, service to the institution, and classroom and studio maintenance, etc. Studio and office space will be accommodated with reasonable assistance for scholarly productivity. Salary is dependent on qualifications.
Qualifications: Master of Fine Arts degree. Experience using Canvas as the educational delivery system is preferred. Ability to teach Graphic Design classes as the primary responsibility, Art Appreciation and, preferably Printmaking.
