Associate, HR/Team Member Experience

The Associate / Senior Associate of Team Member Experience is responsible for ensuring the team members at HITT have a positive, consistent, and equitable experience across their journey as employees at HITT. This role will be focused on the key career milestones and meaningful moments that are often the highlights or the most challenging chapters of an employee's experience. These may include but are not limited to tenure celebrations, retirement, celebration of life events (marriage, birth / adoption, etc.); support during grief periods (death of a loved one, illness, etc.), and recognition of achievement (promotion, education, professional advancement, etc.). This role will assist in the creation and execution of activities , processes, and events that may surround these types of experiences. The role will also support HITT alumni relations, an important part of the long-term employee experience.

The successful candidate will be empathetic, caring, and passionate about employee experience. They will be resourceful and a quick learner, comfortable juggling multiple projects at once. This role requires excellent attention to detail and organization skills, as well as a keen eye for creating experiences through events.

The role reports to a manager in the Team Member Experience group within the Human Resources department and will work closely with the Administrative Services team, Marketing team, Events Manager, and office of the Chief of Staff.

  • Develop and execute activities and events in support of the employee experience related to the following:
    • Tenure celebrations
    • Retirements
    • Voluntary resignations of long-tenured team members
    • Celebration of life events (marriage, birth / adoption, etc.)
    • Sympathy during grief periods (death of a loved one, illness, etc.)
    • Recognition of achievement (promotion, education, professional advancement, etc.)
    • HITT alumni relations and experiences
  • Ideate, organize, and execute events and/or activities such as:
    • Group lunches
    • Happy hours
    • Dinners
    • Parties
    • Golf outings
  • Events management may include venue coordination, invitation lists, catering, run of show and timelines, décor and branding, and communications
  • Write internal news articles, speeches, toasts, and cards on behalf of the company and/or leadership
  • Choose / recommend appropriate gifts as necessary for employees, clients, or partners and the specific situation
  • Maintain and track budget
  • Develop and implement a management system for ensuring team members are supported in their milestones
  • Support corporate and internal events as needed including:
    • Coordinating attendance to industry events
    • Managing the inventory and distribution of promo items such as shirts for specific events

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, HR or other relevant area of study required
  • 1+ years of experience in a corporate setting required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Administrative experience is desirable, including calendar management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required; please include a writing sample of your choice
  • Ability to work autonomously and self-direct priorities is required
  • Proficiency in Adobe Create Suite is desirable
  • Experience in events management is desirable
  • Critical thinking and willingness to go the extra mile, giving even the smallest tasks a high level of attention
