Summary:
The position, Automotive Detailer/Buffer, is responsible for sanding and buffing freshly painted vehicles.
What to Expect:
Competitive Pay –minimum starting rate $18.44+ per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Wet sand and buff/compound newly painted surfaces
Utilize the 3M Perfect-It three step buffing system
Recognize, repair, and glaze both minor and major defects with little assistance, including scratches, assembly damage, dents and gouges
Perform paint corrections (touch-ups)
Identify and remove foreign objects, orange peel and flaws from freshly painted surface
Clean and polish completed units prior to delivery
Assist Painters and Metal Finishers with prep-work and masking
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills
Regular attendance required
All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, its equivalent education OR previous experience sanding, grinding and buffing
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience using hammer/dolly technique
Demonstrated experience using polyester primers
Demonstrated experience using various small and pneumatic hand tools

Ability to lift at least 60lbs
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)—steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, vest
Work Environment:
Working conditions will be inside and outside where temperatures will vary from extreme heat to extreme cold for extended periods of time. This position is regularly exposed to vibration and loud noises.
