POSITION PURPOSE: The Bartender is familiar with a wide variety of drink recipes and is capable of delivering excellent customer services. Responsible for maintaining a culture of food and drink exploration, innovation and dedication for customers and employees. The Bartender is responsible for serving patrons at our bar, monitoring the cash drawer at the bar and performing alcohol inventories... at the end of each night to help maintain proper inventory levels. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Create a culture of food exploration, innovation and education for guests and employees. • Deliver a consistently high level customer service to each customer and maintain a safe environment by identifying any issues. • Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company's guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department. • Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally. • Mix all drinks based on the servings sizes as outlined in the company manual to keep drink costs as a minimum. • Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar satisfied at all times. • Uphold set standard and enforce food and drink preparations and handling ensuring compliance with company food safety policy. • Give regulars something FREE once in awhile. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: Education Level: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Must maintain state Food Handler's Permit. Experience Level: • Must be 21 years or older. • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Bartender • Must maintain a current Bartender License. Skills and Experiences: • Excellent communication skills. • Thorough and Organized • Interact with customers in a professional manner...greeting customers with finesse and charm. • Computer literacy and knowledge of Word Perfect and Excel is preferred. PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: • Required to stand for long periods as well as walk, bend and stoop. • Must be able to lift 55 pounds. • Be able to perform all physical aspects of the position, such as bending, squatting, climbing and walking. • Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
