Our Behavioral Health Clinical Case Managers (BHCCM) provides clinical oversight to behavioral health disability and leave of absence claims. As our subject matter expert on these cases, you will review claim decisions and will be consulted on a variety of case management initiatives including medical disability durations, return to work obstacles and/or return to work planning and clinical guidance/education to internal stakeholders. Our Behavioral Health Clinical Case Managers recognize the importance of work and its financial, social, and psychological implications, and they view return to work as a primary goal for employees. As our Behavioral Health Clinical Case Manager, you will proactively educate treating providers about the importance of work to encourage appropriate treatment and ensure optimal treatment outcomes. You will collaborate with our internal stakeholders on your cases to coordinate case management objectives for treatment and return to work. You recommend clear duration of psychiatric conditions and limitations impacting disability to assist our case manager in determining claim liability.
A subject matter expert on behavioral health illnesses and return to wellness.
You WillLeverage your clinical expertise by educating and guiding disability case managers and other internal/external stakeholders throughout the claim process. Review and assess employee reports and medical evidence to determine the impact of medical conditions on functional limitations. Clarifies medical information, interprets medical reports and evaluates restrictions and limitations to assess current and ongoing level of impairment. Apply current medical knowledge regarding diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and impairment. Participates proactively through early assessment of medical issues, work capacity and RTW opportunities. Apply your clinical knowledge to ascertain probable optimal recovery duration based on pathology, severity, treatment, and its implication on occupational requirements. Ensure quality standards for case management are consistently met.
As our Behavioral Health Clinical Case Manager, you will report to our Operations Manager, who reports to our Director, Customer Operations.
Your QualificationsRN from an accredited school of Nursing with a valid and current state license (unrestricted) in good standing, or LICW, LCSW or LPC. Case Manager Certification (CCM) is preferred. Five or more years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting. Case management experience in behavioral health and disability/absence management is strongly preferred. Advanced knowledge of medical documentation. Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills. Intermediate to advanced computer experience with proficiency in multiple computer systems plus 50+ WPM. Independent, sound judgement and decision-making skills. Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills to manage work based on continually changing priorities. Highly self-motivated to work independently. Strong collaboration skills in working with multiple professional disciplines and diverse populations. Detail oriented and excellent information research skills.

This position is a remote/work from home position that can be located anywhere in the Continental United States.
There is no travel required for this role.
