Sales Manager Full Time - Portland, Oregon

West Coast Sailing's mission is to improve our customer's lives by helping them get on the water in sailboats and kayaks. We are seeking an experienced leader to head our Boat Sales Team in achieving sales goals. We feature a consultative, low-pressure sales environment that's ready for a structured approach.

West Coast Sailing has quality products, good systems, and a track record of revenue growth. We're part of the Starting Line Sailing family of companies. The West Coast Sailing Sales Leader will implement strategies and systems from the national level to our Portland location.

Core Responsibilities:
Achieve Sales Goals
Sales activity via email, phone, and showroom (including adjusting schedule when needed for key customers) and continually improve our performance with each of these channels
Execute national sales campaigns
Work with fulfillment staff to deliver boats to customers perfectly and on time
Measure sales performance to and provide timely reporting to company leadership

Lead and Develop a Sales Team
Position staff where they can be most successful
Coach and train our team
Task management and coordination
Performance management including hiring/firing - set standards and track metrics
Oversee execution of team functions including sales, aftersales and warranty support, boat preparation/assembly, and boat delivery logistics

Qualifications
3+ years of sales experience and 3+ years of people management
Ability to work well and thrive under (seasonal) pressure
Ability to work with a variety of detail-oriented software
Strong written communication
Basic sailing experience

Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary: $62,000
