Your Role and Responsibilities
Job Description: The Client Engagement Manager arranges for Client events and Briefings. They interface with IBM Marketing, IBM Executives, ISVs, Business Partners and IBM sales and technical clients. They plan Client Executive and Technical Briefings and workshops to cover a full range of IBM Products and Services. This position specializes in arranging client briefings and workshops for POWER IBM i clients and Partners, although they can host events for any IBM Products. The Client Engagement Manager also helps arrange World Wide events for both IBM and Partner organizations.

This position will work closely with IBM i Offering Management and IBM i Development to cover various events in Rochester and outbound events on a World Wide basis. These outbound events may be for a large individual client or for a large group of clients.

Responsibilities include:
Working with IBM Marketing on latest Marketing Plays on a unified approach to offerings on a world wide basis.
Communicating with IBM i Offering Management and IBM i Development management on arranging support for large WW events like COMMON User Groups (USA, Europe and Japan), Local User Groups and Tech U.
Planning agendas for individual clients, both Virtual and in-house.
Setting up planning sessions with suggested presenters based on agenda requirements.
Additionally work with IBM i Software Providers, Business Partners and consultants on large events and key clients
Hosting Webinars for Virtual Briefings for WorldWide Clients and events.
Hosting clients in Rochester Center.:
Working with others on arranging meals, agenda, badges, etc for in-house events.
Charging requesting location for Travel Expense for Development resources. TEA will be covered by Engagement/Briefing center, then we approve the TEA and charge the receiving location. The receiving location could be an IBM department, client team, Business Partner or User Group. This is important to make requesting location aware as IBM i Development does not have travel budget for Client Center engagements. The same holds true for inbound briefings. The Visiting IBM or Business Partner is required to pay for lunches, breaks, etc.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Required Skills: ( Example: At least 3 years experience in each skill )
Lotus Notes and Calendaring experience.
Excellent communication skills - in person and through e-mail/phone.
Candidate needs to be familiar with the planning and coordination of client briefing events and workshops working with food vendors, Security and other site facility teams to be sure tasks are completed on time and in order.
Able to learn and apply various billing and financial activities
Candidate should be detailed oriented, polite, timely and professional with passion for a positive client experience.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Preferred Skills:
Marketing and/or semi-technical background
Experience with IBM i and POWER Offerings
Up to date or basic understanding of latest IBM i Offerings/Capabilities.
Working with wide group of people including Clients, BPs, ISVs and IBM Client teams.
