Job Summary

Department Specific Responsibilities
  • Develops and documents electronic documents routing for approvals for all University Graduate School forms for degree progression, financial aid and admissions.
  • IU Core Team member for admissions and member of SalesForce (CRM) team.
  • Supervises graduate assistant
General Responsibilities
  • Provides experienced business and systems analysis related to the design, development, implementation, planning and support of University Graduate School systems; monitors systems to determine hardware and application needs, performance tuning needs, as well as system maintenance needs.
  • Coordinates deployment of new systems, providing seamless integration and rigorous testing; ensures systems security; ensures systems services have high availability.
  • Researches and recommends systems software solutions; performs experienced analyses, evaluation and testing of high performance computer software systems; monitors hardware/software usage, provides statistics, produces reports as needed, and makes recommendations for strategies.
  • Participates in project planning, formulating objectives, and preparing project proposals; evaluates requests for service and makes recommendations that are effective, efficient and synchronous with university IT services, policies and standards.
  • Reviews and documents problem resolutions as well as systems analysis standards, best practices, and processes.
  • Researches and stays up-to-date on new industry standards for systems administration and analysis.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in computer science or related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE

Required
  • 2 years of systems analysis or related experience.
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
