CNA Float Part Time 24 Hours/Week (Job ID: 5431)Job SummaryUnder general supervision, floats to all in-patient areas and EmergencyDepartment according to scope of practice according to the DH floatingguidelines. First to float to a different unit as the staffing needs of thehospital change. Assists professional nursing and care providers in providingcare to all patients with respect for their uniqueness. Collaborates with theRN and healthcare team, while assisting with basic patient care andactivities of daily living. Ensures all duties, responsibilitiesand competencies are conducted in a manner that is effective and appropriateto patients/clients to who care/service is being provided. 2.Demonstrates knowledge and applicability of the principles of growth anddevelopment over the life span, as well as demonstrating the ability toassess data reflecting the patient's status and interpreting appropriatecultural information of the patient(s) to whom care/ services is beingdelivered/provided. 3. Employee has completed and met their clinicalcompetency standards 4. Ability to use medical equipment and instruments toadminister patient care. 5. Skilled in maintaining effective workingrelationship with patients, employees, and the public. 6. Ability to reactcalmly and effectively in emergency situations 7. Ability to interpret adaptand apply guidelines and procedures 8. Ability to communicate clearly.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1.
