Randstad's client in Maple Grove, MN has a Direct Hire position for a CNC Machinist. This is a 2nd shift position.

JOB REQUIREMENTS • High School graduate plus 3 to 5 years previous related experience using Vertical CNC machining centers and other general purpose machining and inspection equipment. • Must be able to handle all phases of set-up, operation, editing of programs, and solid troubleshooting skills. • Intermediate knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. • Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, height gauges, and indicators.

Responsibilities

The CNC Machinist is responsible for the effective set-up, operation and trouble shooting of new and existing parts and production lots, as well as successfully detecting malfunctions in machine operations. This position is responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce quality parts in accordance with detailed engineering drawings to very tight tolerances. Will work with CNC machining centers, CNC multi-spindle drilling machines and other manual drilling machines, single spindle mills, press brakes, and measuring equipment. May edit programs for CNC equipment and interpret geometric tolerances on drawings in order to manufacture parts to specifications.
