Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RI&S) seeks a Consulting Strategic Planner for Configuration Management (CM) to join our team. The position is located in Hampton, VA.
•Work with Systems Engineering, Cyber, Training, and Program Managers to define content of Site-Specific Engineering Plans (SSEPs), User Manuals, Implementation Plans, and technical documentation. Gather and analyze technical data pertaining to information technology (IT) system design / development. Create, update, maintain technical documentation.
•Identify / analyze data to evaluate discrepancies, quality issues, and data integrity.
•Central data manager.
•Manage / moderate web content on content management website, SharePoint, and Confluence. Implement / manage workflows.
•Work with staff ensuring accurate, timely, complete data collection within CM databases / repositories.
•Proactively identify errors and inconsistences in data and work to identify and improve data collection protocols.
•Point of contact within LTM&S to communicate relevant updates or changes in program-related SharePoint and Confluence web pages.
•Work with Data Management and Configuration Management staff ensuring version control.
•Create and share reports, graphs, tables, charts, which effectively present and summarize data.
•Develop and lead configuration/data management training for new and existing staff.
•Maintain version control; meet required timelines for delivery.
•Produce content conforming to established guidelines, editorial best practices, and organizational style guides. Proofread / copyedit content for proper grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.
•Conduct and accurately document research to support written content. Verify technical accuracy by working with technical staff as appropriate.
•Participate in teams focused on product improvement.
•Maintain knowledge base of accurate / approved content.
•Provide input to communication of complex concepts, and layouts of documents / materials.
•Develop SOPs and policies to include procedural steps, assignment of responsibility, expected durations, and task detail. Coordinate layout and design of documents.
•Assist with development of templates, streamlined reports for baseline documentation, improving and documenting departmental processes and style guide.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
•An active and in-scope Secret U.S. security clearance
•Flexible with changing priorities, manage multiple projects / deadlines efficiently.
•Preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents, release notes, product documentation website, and complex engineering plans.
•Researching highly technical subject matter, organizing information from multiple sources, and expressing technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers.
•Writing technical copy for a wide variety of document types, such as, but not limited to SOPs, Implementation Plans, Installation Guides, and technical program/product documents.
•Proficient in Microsoft Suite, incl Visio and SharePoint.
•Communicate orally and written.
•Function effectively in a team environment.
•Work independently and within a team environment.
•Problem-solver with attention to detail, superior organizational / supervisory skills.
•IT design / development, testing, release management, risk management, and quality control best practices.
•Agile software and IT development, including continuous integration rhythm.
Typically a Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) years' of relevant experience or An Advanced Degree with typically three (3) years' experience relevant experience or typically thirteen (13) years' equivalent experience.
