Our client is a well established market leader in the manufacturing of electronic equipment and they are looking to add a Cost Accountant/Analyst to their team. The role will be a value add to the organization to help them align their costs to coincide with their profits. The role is going to be very hands on and have a high level of exposure to c-level executives in this tight knit group of a company.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect cost information and maintain an expense database.
- Analyze cost accounting reports for discrepancies, make adjustments, and assist in overall inventory tracking.
- Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts.
- Determine standard costs and investigate variances with actual costs.
- Support and Supervise new product quotations.
- Estimate product costs for existing and new products.
- Monitor changes in processes or methods to calculate effects on overall costs.
- Provide cost, profitability, and efficiency analysis.
- Forecast and analyze costs of processes, labor and inventory.
- Reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger
- Assist in annual inventory counts.
- Analyze and report profit margins.
- Ad hoc financial Analysis and Reporting.
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- MBA or CPA a plus
- 1-5 years experience
- Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with a manufacturing and distribution company.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, especially Excel).
- Experience with ERP systems.
