The Supervision and Regulation Business Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE) provides the full scope data analytics capabilities from data wrangling, to delivering solutions that are insightful and actionable. We deliver our stakeholders with end-to-end automation, descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics products.
The Data Analytics job family collects, cleans, analyzes, and visualizes both supervisory and business operations data to identify trends and provide stakeholders with valuable information that can be used to help improve decision making.
The Data Analytics Manager will be responsible for providing oversight, direction, and support of our stakeholder engagement team. Managing the business relationships through meaningful connections, fostering collaboration, transparency, and innovation. The Manager will support our goal to modernize our Supervisory operations leveraging emerging technologies.
The Data Analytics Manager participates in special projects or process improvement initiatives at the team, division, or department level to advance our data management and analytics practices. The Data Analytics Manager develops, coaches, and leads staff.
The level of work is considered advanced, and the individual must be able to work under minimal supervision. This position has direct reports.
Your Responsibilities:
Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining, and engineering as well as modeling, visualizations, and communication of deliverables
Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights for stakeholders
Develop and implement quality controls that meet or exceed department, Bank and System standards
Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology and budget that considers stakeholders needs within the department, Bank and System and design, develop and implement solutions to meet these needs
Responsible for synthesizing complex issues by conducting assessments analysis of the business problem, inclusive of design thinking and customer journey mapping
Evaluates team skills, assists with developing strategies to reskill and upskill team and building bench strength to meet current and future business needs
Stay apprised of industry trends in relevant technical or professional knowledge areas and knowledge share where applicable throughout the organization
Makes formal presentations on a wide variety of technical and non-technical topics
Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with staff & management at the Reserve Bank and System; this may include the Board of Governors, and external partners
Conducts performance development discussions and activities
Your Background:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
Advanced degree preferred
Five plus years of direct work-related experience

Possesses working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data systems
Understanding of, and experience using, analytical concepts and statistical techniques
Experience with reporting packages, data bases, programming, and statistical packages for analyzing data sets
Possesses the ability to understand the stakeholder’s line of business
Possesses the ability to execute and communicate strategy by leveraging business knowledge
Demonstrates advanced decision making and problem-solving skills
Possesses the ability to learn continuously by understanding own strengths and weaknesses
Demonstrates openness to feedback and modifies behavior when necessary

This position is considered Hybrid. Your presence will be required at one of the 7th District offices- Chicago, IL Detroit, MI or Des Moines, IA.
