This uncompromising team tends to nearly three hundred high availability applications both on-prem in our corporate data centers and in the AWS cloud. As we re-engineer legacy apps for the cloud, we are also in the process of migrating toward a DevOps environment. Candidates should have a mid-and long-term interest in becoming DevOps engineers, eventually writing code! Our technology stack includes .NET, Java, SQL Server, IIS, Linux, Windows Server, Solar Winds, AWS Lambda, Docker, and many other modern technologies. What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Engineering team's designated coordinator of application deployment.
Designs, implements and deploys application monitoring systems.
Coordinates root cause analysis sessions for production incidents.
Coordinates team activities during production incidents.
Aids in transitions of teams from legacy to DevOps.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
5+ years of experience working in Dev Ops.
Cloud experience – moving applications into the cloud. Preferably with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Configuration management experience.
Application configuration and setup experience - .NET, Java, SQL, Linux
Network and connectivity skills.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Effective communication and leadership in a tactical team troubleshooting environment.
Ability and willingness to rapidly learn technology through hands-on immersion.
Willingness to occasionally work after-hours.
Customer facing experience.
