Position Purpose: Develop adult and children behavioral health programs, as well as special programs, addressing prioritized population and healthcare needs. Assist and serve as lead advisor to Medical Management team on behavioral health considerations and requirements.
Develop and oversee behavioral health programs, services, and network for adult and child members. Supervise evidence-based practice fidelity reviews and other audits; manage Medicaid nonTXIX grant-funding including Mental Health and Substance Abuse Block grant funds, as well as state-funded grants (e.g. for Substance Use and Opioid Use responses); develop processes, policies, and tools to sustain adequate network of behavioral health providers and programs for members; offer Provider and internal technical assistance related to improving behavioral health programs and outcomes.
Medical Management support including approvals of psychological/neuropsychological evaluation requests, Integrated Care Teams (as appropriate/requested), and other member specific services. Assist Medical Management, Utilization Management and Care Management departments (e.g. lead monitor for Mental Health Parity)
Develop and oversee tribal health and social determinants of health programming. Supervise tribal health team as well as the housing, employment, prevention and other social determinant programs.
Education/Experience: Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology or related field. PhD in Clinical Psychology preferred. 7+ years of clinical behavioral healthcare experience.
License/Certification: Licensed Clinical Psychologist
