Job Description:

The Role The Director, Global Compliance Operations is responsible for building and overseeing elements of Moderna's compliance operations program, with a mandate to build our transparency reporting process and leverage automation and technology to deliver meaningful operational efficiencies. This role will be responsible for US transparency reporting as well as implementation of compliance and privacy systems & processes supporting compliant interactions with healthcare professionals and other external healthcare stakeholders. This role will also provide project management support to Global Ethics, Compliance & Privacy (ECP) leaders relating to compliance or privacy-related initiatives and collaborate with peers in finance and procurement to identify and establish processes to enable consistent, efficient documentation and reporting to meet compliance and privacy requirements. Here's What You'll Do \* Develop and implement operational execution of US transparency reporting. This includes US Federal Sunshine, US state law, and other reporting requirements, including methodological notes and dispute resolution processes. \* Work with Digital teams to ensure data capture from source systems is complete and accurate, through routine and consistent data reconciliation. \* Design and execute communication and training plans with key stakeholders, in partnership with the Director, Policy, Communication & Training. \* Create and maintain documentation for new and existing transparency processes; ensure all data sources are documented. \* Develop, update and monitor adherence to transparency operations procedures. \* Monitor and proactively identify and address potential gaps or risk areas related to data quality, and compliance regulations, guidelines and trends. \* Identify process gaps and work with key stakeholders on corrective measures. \* Map upstream/source data processes to review for opportunities and improvement related to transparency data capture. \* Manage the risks associated with Moderna's external engagements by: \* Establishing and maintaining processes and systems to review, approve, and document consultancy and other contractual arrangements with healthcare professionals, government officials, patients, patient organizations, and other external healthcare stakeholders; \* Further enhancing and integrating objective fair market value calculation mechanisms, including both support for service engagements with external healthcare stakeholders and certain bespoke or one-off analyses; \* Reviewing potential conflicts of interest routed to Corporate Compliance, and escalating those with a high degree of risk to the company; \* Supporting the processes to review external requests for grants, charitable donations, and sponsorships; and \* Providing support, advice, and integration guidance for the various forms of consent collection (commercial, privacy, transparency) that are required when interacting with external healthcare stakeholders. \* Enhance our compliance program by: \* Providing project management support to Global ECP leaders on compliance and privacy initiatives; \* Leading or supporting other critical initiatives as required; and \* Mitigating risk through reinforcing established procedures, spotting and escalating issues to Compliance leadership, and modeling business integrity and ethical behavior Here's What You'll Need (Minimum Qualifications) \* BA/BS in a field related to compliance, risk management, or quality management (this is not a GxP position). \* Minimum 10 years of diversified biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience, including a minimum of 5 years of experience in transparency operational roles. \* Proven experience with evaluating and mitigating the risk regarding industry engagements with healthcare professionals. \* Working knowledge of major business processes and compliance requirements related to the bio-pharmaceutical industry. \* Demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and develop and build out functional capabilities.
