The Director of HR Operations for Arizona College of Nursing is responsible for the maintenance, support and process documentation for the programs used within Human Resources. The Director of HR Operations oversees compensation, benefits, records management, report writing, and process improvement. They are also a key point-of-contact on the Human Resources team and must consistently promote and display professionalism and customer service focus.
- HRIS
o Ensure that our HRIS functions as a reliable and complete system of record for our HR-related data.
o Oversee data integrity in HR systems by running queries, analyzing data, and executing audits.
o Develop data integrity protocols between HR, Finance, and other internal departments.
- Benefits
o Ensure that our benefit programs are easy to access and running smoothly.
o Oversee the administration and accuracy of all benefits company-wide including invoice verification.
o Administer employee benefits programs such as retirement plans; medical, dental, vision plans; life insurance plans; short-term disability program; military leave; personal leave; unemployment; workers’ compensation.
o Maintain knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare (specifically executives), OSHA, and Social Security and DOL requirements.
o Develop specifications for new plans or modify existing plans to maintain the company’s competitive position in the labor market.
o Manage vendor quality and performance to include documentation issues, customer service, adherence to plan provisions, and performance guarantees.
o Oversee the administration of the benefits eligibility and enrollment process to ensure consistent and effective messaging.
o Administer Workers’ Compensation reporting and return to work program including investigation follow up.
- Payroll
o Ensure that our payroll is running smoothly for our employees and the states we operate in.
o Assist in building compensation structure and continued maintenance of compensation structure.
o Recommend and execute severance agreements.
o Ensure compliance with ACA including Administration & Reporting.
o Maintain up to date job descriptions and FLSA compliance.
- Onboarding and Offboarding
o Ensure that employees who onboard & offboard have the be.st employee experience possible.
o Oversee accurate processing of New Hire Paperwork.
- Management
o Oversee and direct the work of the Payroll Administrator and HR Administrator.
o Partner with Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, and Training and Development on all matters especially relating to HR Operations.
o Liaise with operations managers and Directors to answer questions and solve problems.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, or a related field.
7+ years’ experience in Human Resources, HR Operations preferred
SHRM-CP preferred
