General Description:

The Director, Organized Customer Value & Innovation will be a key role within the U.S. Market Access department, and is responsible for sourcing, developing, communicating, and liaising BeiGene value solutions with and through select organized oncology customers and strategic data partners (IDNs, Health Systems, GPOs, large Community Practices). In concert with and independent of strategic data, health information and claims analytics vendors, consultants and strategic partners, this person will create and publicize innovative, value-based solutions tailored for key customer segments. This role will aptly support the internal value strategy and tactical plans in support of commercial access and customer economic/financial and quality-driven objectives; fostering relationships with data vendors, strategic partners and select organized customers is essential. This role will play a critical aspect in defining the most valued data sources and will primarily partner across the Value & Strategy and Market Access Field teams to provide the evidence to support both branded and unbranded messages, hematology and brand-specific and Corporate.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Identify opportunities for customer and off-the-shelf data-driven value solutions in support of access and commercial strategic objectives for BeiGene portfolio products, with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) being a near-term priority

  • Manage the relationship with data vendors, analysts, and strategic partners to translate EMR / EHR data, claims data, real world data into data-driven value solutions and deliver related analyses, tools and market insights to leadership

  • Support organized customer Corporate Account Directors when engaging with select organized customers with demonstrated interest in data-driven partnerships to develop customer specific value solutions including total cost of care and value-based contracting (VBC) metrics and compliance; be an account resource

  • Key external touchpoints could include interactions with data vendors, strategic partners, and select organized customers (incl. Chief Medical Officer, Medical Directors, Directors of Quality and Oncology Pharmacy as well as other key decision makers of these organized customers depending on their organization structure)

  • Seamlessly integrate with other members of the Value & Strategy team, reporting project progress and customer & market insights to be incorporated into strategy planning

  • Collaborate with Corporate Account Directors (CADs) to understand customers’ needs, collect feedback, and execute partnerships in support of account strategy

  • Collaborate with Commercial Operations and Business Analytics (COBA) team for data analyses and validation from internal data, secondary data and customer’s own data

  • Liaise with Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) team to understand budget impact and cost-effective models and related publications as needed to shape discussions with select organized customers, as well as facilitate introductions to appropriate medical affairs colleagues for clinical questions or research opportunities; further liaise with Value & Strategy to provide a coordinated customer-specific message

  • Communicate with contracting team to share insights relevant to value-based contracting strategy and engage contracting discussions with select customers as needed based on scope of value solutions

  • Responsible for presenting value-driven evidence and insights from executed projects to internal stakeholders as well as at national and regional conferences and forums

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of related pharmaceutical market access experience with some customer engagement and data analytics responsibilities; strong preference for hematology and/or solid tumor oncology background and Bachelor's Degree or Masters/advanced degree and 7+years experience.

  • Experience working with organized customers, and / or past direct work experience at claims, EMR / EHR, real world data vendors, IDNs, Health Systems, GPOs, large Community Practices; as a field-based account director and/or business development within oncology data arena also appreciated

  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare data sets and analyses including familiarity with EMR / EHR data translation, claims based analyses, episodic and total cost of care reporting and modelling within an oncology setting

  • Comfortable with in-depth customer interactions and experienced in fostering long-term partnerships

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including ability to synthesize data to articulate the value of data-driven partnerships and solutions

  • A demonstrated track record of collaborating across organization to achieve target outcomes

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects, and deliver effective results within defined timelines

Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree & 10+ years experience or Master’s and/or other advanced degree and 7+ years experience
