What you'll do...

Join the Health & Wellness Compliance team to support the growth and expansion of Walmart’s Health & Wellness strategy!  The Director – Value Based Care Compliance is a critical thought-leadership role that will be at the forefront of supporting key strategic initiatives, including development of value based care arrangements and associated payer contracting (e.g., Medicare Advantage).  Reporting to the Senior Director – Billing and Specialty/Walmart Health Compliance, you will collaborate with Walmart business partners and other functional areas to support evolution in this space, lead the development and implementation of an effective compliance program for value based care arrangements/contracts, identify potential compliance risks associated with business strategies, and establish effective controls and compliance oversight related to those risks. 

You’ll sweep us off our feet if:

  • You’re a subject matter expert in value based care arrangements/contracts and associated compliance risks, with specific experience with Medicare Advantage plan requirements, coding and billing considerations, and clinical documentation integrity programs
  • You have significant experience and familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements, including federal and state healthcare regulations, Medicare program guidelines, etc. 
  • You’re process-minded and look for opportunities to streamline for improved efficiency and effectiveness
  • You have strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders
  • You have experience working in cross-functional teams within a corporate environment
  • You’re organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • You’re stimulated by challenges and are ready to engage at Fortune 1 scale

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Developing a compliance program foundation – Develop and implement the value based care compliance program structure and foundation, ensuring that all elements of an effective compliance program are in place and integrating into existing structures and processes where appropriate.
  • Establishing a roadmap for future enhancement – Identify short- and long-term compliance program initiatives, demonstrating the ability to prioritize immediate needs and plan for ongoing enhancement and evolution of the program over time.
  • Building effective relationships – Establish relationships with key stakeholders and effectively integrate with the Walmart business so as to secure compliance as the most trusted support function.
  • Supporting enterprise and team success – Facilitate timely identification of compliance risks and implementation of effective mitigation strategies to enable successful implementation of business initiatives. 
  • Operating with excellence – Identify KPIs and KRIs that measure and monitor potential risk areas.  Set an example in managing to KPIs/KRIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.
