The Dispatcher is primarily responsible for interacting with Delivery Driver teams and customers to resolve all Driver related situations and provide solutions to issues in a fast-paced environment while implementing great customer service. This role is non-remote and based in Boise, ID. This position will pay $18-20 / hr DOE... What You Will Do • Handle dispatch support for Dania Furniture | Scandinavian Designs Delivery teams by: • Receive dispatch information and determine the appropriate response needed to effectively handle emergencies, accidents, breakdowns and other reasons that may cause customer service issues • Build a relationship with the delivery team, Transportation team, and our customers. • Develop and create efficient, cost- effective trucking routes to meet customer demands while matching available vehicles with load and distance requirements and provide trucks with information about orders, traffic, weather, obstacles, and requirements. • Must be able to maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information with strict attention to detail. • Must be able to maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information with strict attention to detail. • Other duties as assigned while working 4, 10-hour shifts. Three days off! Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday. Who You Are • Has at least 2 years of Dispatching or Customer Service • Loves a fast-paced environment • Skilled at communication (speaking and writing) • Strong organizational skills • Able to use multiple platforms across different screens • Problem solving with quick resolution to issues • Prolonged sitting, standing, moderate reaching and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs. Education: High School diploma or equivalent GED, 2 years’ work experience in a related field for customer service, administration, transportation, or warehouse administration preferred.
