Reporting to the Medical Physicist, the Dosimetrist will be a crucial part of the Radiation Oncology Team. The Dosimetrist will be a part of a large 150+ bed acute care facility that is highly decorated. This hospital has one of the busiest Oncology Departments in the region and the Dosimetrist will be supported by a collaborative team of Techs, Radiation Therapists, and more to ensure that the facilities’ high standards of Radiation Oncology are met.
The Dosimetrist will develop, implement, and evaluate the radiation oncology treatment program goals and activities to execute day to day operations of the Radiation Oncology department, infusion clinic, and various processes. This will include coordinating and developing procedures to ensure that standard process and risk assessment goals and Quality Assurance benchmarks are achieved. TheDosimetrist will also collaborate with leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements, executing timely and accurate reporting to the Medical Physicist, assess staffing needs, and ensure performance improvement.
