This position will oversee all aspects training development and facilitation for one of three areas, dependent on which grant contract the position is housed in: CPR & Academy (trainings will focus on early childhood professional development, and conducting health and safety, CPR, and emergency preparedness); Family Engagement or Professional Development (trainings will focus on parent trainings and institutes, early childhood professional development trainings, and external child development related trainings with community partners); or Health & Safety (trainings will focus on health and safety trainings for early childhood educators). This position is remote, however we are only considering applicants residing in the state of California at this time. Keys areas of responsibility include: * Develop, coordinate, and facilitate trainings for parents, the community, and agency staff at CCRC offices and throughout L.A. county, utilizing the appropriately established Child Care and Early Childhood Education curriculum and/or Health and Safety curriculum (training topics may include, but are not limited to: CPR; First Aid; emergency preparedness; prevention of infectious diseases; SIDS; immunization requirements; etc). 30% * Maintain knowledge of and familiarity with trainings and resources offered in parent institutes and the community. 15% * Work to enhance existing training activities and create new trainings by building relationships and partnerships with clients and external training presenters. 15% * Assess, recommend, and implement ongoing improvement for procedures and processes, and training curriculums. 10% * Adapt delivery methods and/or content of curriculums when necessary to meet specific needs of different audiences, as needed. 5% * Collaborate with the ECE Outreach Specialist to support dissemination of marketing materials to advertise CCRC trainings to appropriate markets utilizing a variety of methods (e.g. email, in-person meetings, mailings, etc). 5% * Assist parents and/or the community by providing and information on, and when appropriate referrals to, other CCRC departments, outside agencies, and other community resources to support family needs. 5% * Track, collect and process registration fees of training attendees and monitor registrations (if applicable). 5% * Process certifications of training attendees to vendor (if applicable). 5% * Submit accurate and timely reports, and program tracking forms, to supervisor/manager. 5% REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience: * Depending on grant contract assignment of position, a minimum of an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree may be required. Degree concentration in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field preferred. * Minimum of 2 years' experience in the field of Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Human Development or related field required. * Minimum of 2 years' experience conducting trainings, presentations, or group meetings required. Other Requirements: * Understand the needs and requirements of child care providers and professionals, and families, in the ECE field * Bilingual English/Spanish, strongly preferred (ability to converse, read, write, and/or translate in English and Spanish) * Ability to be flexible, innovative, and adapt to the changing needs of the program/department/agency * Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to honor confidentiality, and work sensitively and supportively with clients * Ability to maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the public; work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues * Strong ability to complete projects and achieve goals under tight deadlines even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments * Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel * Excellent problem solving skills * Excellent organizational and communication skills required; ability to successfully interface with others * Excellent customer service skills required * Excellent presenting/training skills required * Must have use of an automobile with adequate insurance coverage and a valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record substantiated by a copy of DMV records * Criminal Records (e.g. Livescan Fingerprinting), Child Abuse Index Check, Sexual Offender Registry, Health and Tuberculosis (TB) test clearances required * Ability to work a non-traditional work schedule including evenings and weekends At CCRC, passion and meaningful work is rewarded!
