Job Summary:

The role of the Employer Relations Coordinator at SuccessWorks at the College of Letters & Science is integral to continuing our great work connecting employers with students. This position focuses on four areas:

1) Employer consultations: Act as a main point of contact for employers, consult with them to help explain the value of hiring Letters & Science students, and connect them with the appropriate recruiting opportunities to do so. This role will have a special focus on employers in the Technology, Data and Analytics area, but will also work with employers from all fields.

2) Employer management strategy: Manage our new strategic employer engagement plan that streamlines the employer intake process, maintains and manages the employer CRM, creates reports, and manages employer data.

3) Recruiting and event management: Execute employer events including career fairs (virtual or in person), employer networking events and other employer events as needed. This role also oversees on-campus interviews, the mock interview program, and aspects of our experiential education offerings (i.e. case studies and employer site visits).

4) Equity and inclusion: Understand the challenges and obstacles faced by students from underrepresented and/or first-generation backgrounds in the job & internship recruitment process, and work in this role to create solutions to these challenges.


Develops a comprehensive employer recruiting communication strategy, cultivates key partnerships, and establishes an extended professional network to effectively promote and market students and programs to local and national employers. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
  • 50% Serves as a point of contact for prospective employers providing advice and information about recruitment, engagement, hiring students, and addressing their needs
  • 20% Schedules logistics and secures resources for on-campus recruiting activities
  • 20% Proactively develops relationships and working knowledge of relevant industries
  • 5% Provides students with information about internship opportunities, career planning, and/or employment opportunities and/or coaches students through the recruiting process
  • 5% Participates in the campus-wide career services community providing input to leadership regarding the development of advising, recruitment, and co/curricular programs offered by the school/college

Bachelor's Degree

At least one year of professional work experience in higher education, for-profit or non-profit sectors in areas like or related to career services, student services, event planning, employer or alumni relations, or project management.
