This position is located with Bureau of Indian Affairs, Eastern Region, Choctaw Agency, in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Responsibilities Operates engineering and construction equipment such as bulldozers, angle dozers, motor graders, front-end loaders, backhoes, trench diggers, etc. Responsible for carrying out the day to day details of seasonal road maintenance operations. Assists mechanics, as required, in the overhaul/repair of equipment. Keeps field records on equipment maintenance and operation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Selective Factor: This position requires a special qualification that has been determined to be essential to perform the duties and will be used as a screen out element. Those who do not provide evidence they possess the following selective factor(s) will be rated not qualified: Screen-out Element: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. Screen-out Element: You must possess a valid state-issued Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). -AND- Experience: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards. For this position, the job element method is used to match what you, the applicant, can do against what the work calls for. Your knowledge, skills and abilities will be compared to the knowledge, skills and abilities (called job elements) needed for success. A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. The full performance level of this position is WG-8.
