Our Packaging Team supports several facets by providing master planning, design, execution, and start-up services for packaging systems. Clients are manufacturers in the Food and Beverage; Beer, Wine, and Spirits; and Consumer Products market segments. Our Project Engineer will provide engineering expertise and guidance to the Design Engineers, and will make sure that the project is technically sound, on schedule, and within cost.Job Responsibilities:Ensure the development and implementation of design standardsUse knowledge and past experience to develop solutions to our customer's packaging challengesSupervise cost, scheduling, and purchasing of equipment and servicesSupervise technical personnel assigned to the projectEnsure the development of existing staffEstablishing and maintaining project filesPreparing purchase requisitions and purchase ordersVendor negotiationsEstablishing resource schedules and assigning workSupervising installation and start-up teamsUnderstand and determine customer needs and define services needed to provide an effective projectDevelop proposalsMonitor cash flow of projectChange managementDevelop personal technical skills as well as those of co-workersEducation/Experience:Degreed Engineer from ABET Accredited 4-year program with 10 years of experience in packaging and production systems and/or automated manufacturing systems and the food, pharmaceutical, beverage, or consumer products industry is requiredEnvironmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
