Position Information:
The Exercise Specialist, Program Director is responsible for assuring compliance with governing agencies including The NC Division of Health and Human Services, JCAHO, and CMS. Additionally, the position is responsible for working with the supervisor and manager to ensure policies and procedures for Cardiac Rehab are meeting the standard of care represented by the North Carolina Cardiopulmonary Rehab Association and the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehab. The position is also responsible for exercise programming, prescription, and exercise therapy for the cardiac rehab program and assists as needed in the provision of other department functions for individuals with medical conditions requiring participation in a clinical setting. The Exercise Specialist applies clinical expertise and advanced knowledge in exercise science to the development of evaluation tools for the clinical practices of the department and its programs. Duties include review of patient's medical history, determination of appropriate testing protocols, and explanation of test to the patient.
Experience Requirements:
3 Years Clinical - Cardiac Rehabilitation Required
Education Required:
Master's Degree Exercise Science Or Equivalent Education Requirement
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist Required
