Job Description This position will be located at Langley AFB, Virginia, supporting the F-22 modification, repair, overhaul, and low observable aircraft production lines. Possible domestic and international travel maybe required.
Repairs, replaces and overhauls aircraft structural systems to ensure airworthiness. Determines feasibility and method of repairing/replacing/restoring malfunctioning, damaged, or low observable components. Work typically requires a detailed understanding of blueprints, aircraft drawings and low observable coating applications.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule as required to keep aircraft modifications on schedule. This position is for a highly motivated person to be responsible for performing aircraft modifications, and low observable maintenance on all Lockheed Martin Platforms. Must be able to read and interpret technical data. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and compliance with government personal readiness requirement to include COVID-19 vaccination. Basic Qualifications Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years structural experience on fighter aircraft.
-Must possess strong leadership/teamwork skills, strong oral written communication skills, strong customer relation skills and the ability to work independently.
-Must have Technical Compliance, Time Compliance, or Aircraft Modification experience.
-Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security programs. Desired skills Experience on F-22, F-35, F-16, F-15, F-18 or similar aircraft
-An FAA aircraft and Power Plant Mechanic license is desirable.
-8+ years or more of Multiple Platform structural repair experience on Fighter aircraft.
-6+ years of relevant training experience in military systems
-USAF 7-skill level or equivalent i.e.,… Navy CDI, CDQAR
-Be able to apply professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals.
-Experience at a US military customer site

Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
