The Fidelity Advantage 401(k) Pooled Employer Plan (PEP) is a newly launched product that Fidelity is marketing to plan sponsors via electronic means. The person hired will report to the Vice President of Sales Lead Generation and will sell Fidelity’s traditional start up 401(k) product as well as this exciting new offering. This means you will be talking to plan sponsors of small companies and start up businesses.

The Purpose of Your Role

This role will partner with various groups across WI to offer PEPs and Start Ups to prospective plan sponsors. It will evolve over time and your feedback will be essential in defining the support model and process as we continue our digital acquisition journey.

This Specialist role will support clients throughout the sales process and ensure a smooth handoff to their digital onboarding experience. You will have responsibility to ensure all leads are pursued and followed-up on in a timely fashion. You will also be responsible for ensuring good client fit for the products and services being offered. The associate we hire must be an excellent listener, a strong presenter, and be very detailed in the notes and administration within the Salesforce CRM.

We are looking for someone that will provide product information and fit criteria during the sales process. The associate will also communicate client sentiment internally to help drive strategic process change and product improvements over time. The associate must be able to achieve a high degree of productivity while working independently.

Since this role is part of WI Sales, it is an excellent role for learning about our overall DC and Multi Product sales process and meeting key business partners involved in plan sales.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must have proven experience in either sales or other types of consultative conversations especially experience with using an effective questioning strategy to drive efficient conversations
  • Strong ability to multi-task, react and think quickly
  • Series 7 & 63 required

  • Clear interpersonal skills and a desire to learn
  • Willingness to learn relevant industry/regulatory trends that impact the retirement industry
  • Leadership skills including providing feedback to different business partners to help initiate process change
  • Providing subject matter expertise on retirement and benefit issues during the sales/ implementation process
  • Provide strategic level thinking, analysis, and communication to create and/or revise PEP sales processes based on client’s requests and perceived gaps
  • CRM proficiency in Salesforce
  • Self-starter with strong sense of ownership and involvement is essential.
