Job Description

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Final Assembly Inspector 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Saint Augustine FL. This will be a 4/10 Nights position.

Dailey Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspects mechanical final assembly installations of the aircraft such as fuselage, wings, flaps, landing gears, and tail assemblies.

  • Inspects systems such as hydraulic, pneumatic, oil, heat, and brakes.

  • Visually and physically inspects electrical installations. Rechecks work after adjustment or repair.

  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

  • Maintains necessary inspection logs and writes inspection reports.

  • Requires very limited to no supervision.

  • No instructions needed on routine work, and general instructions given on new lines of work or special assignments.

  • May assist in orienting, training, assigning and verifying the work of lower level employees.

  • Duties & tasks are varied and moderately complex. Frequent contact with individuals representing other departments, including government representatives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a High School graduate or equivalent and 3 years additional experience in Aircraft Inspection and or Military Aircraft experience.

  • 3 years of experienced with Inspection techniques and Inspection tools including dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, and borescopes.

  • 3 years Aircraft Structural experience to include minor and major assemblies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable and familiar with St. Augustine Aircraft Integration Center of Excellence, Product Quality processes and procedures .

  • Experienced with identifying, documenting and processing product non-conforming material tags using approved Material Review Board processes, specifically understanding the Preliminary Review process, and utilizing the Manufacturing Execution System application tool.

  • Proficient in navigating and referencing procedural guidance in the Command Media library, technical data containedwithin Quest or other shared document locations, Northrop Grumman Engineering specifications, MEPS, and NAVAIR Maintenance Manuals as required.

  • MES Tag writing and research skills

Salary Range: $48,800.00 - $81,400.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
