Using a case-management, relationship-oriented approach:Collaborate with financial aid and admission staff to create and present a personalized, student-friendly financing plan to both admitted and continuing students.Upon a newly accepted student committing to attend NEOMED, the financial aid counselor will provide personalized assistance to the accepted student with the goal of the student matriculating to NEOMED. Assistance will focus on helping candidates finance their NEOMED educations but may also include advising admitted students on the completion of matriculation tasks as part of a new student enrollment team.Plan, organize, and execute financial wellness, and scholarship resource education through a variety of activities. Help develop and participate in admission, matriculation, continuing enrollment, and student loan entrance and exit counseling activities.Counseling efforts will include partnering with stakeholders to responsibly leverage institutional, state, and federal grants, loans, and scholarships, help students understand the financial aid process, and communicate aid eligibility and strategies for managing debt to new and continuing students. 2). Perform financial aid awarding tasks assigned caseload. Collaborating with senior financial aid staff these activities may include:Conduct verification of application materials with supporting documentation for accuracy and work with students to resolve discrepancies.Complete the financial aid packaging process using federal and institutional methodology.Process and resolve discrepancies in the application and loan origination process.Complete Return of title IV calculations.Counsel students related to the Satisfactory Academic Progress process, including evaluating students’ progression in the curriculum communicate with students not meeting progress as defined by the university’s policy.May be required to process requests for funding through the Veterans Affairs Administration. 3) Assist the Office of Financial Aid with compliance and office management by:Maintaining working knowledge of federal, state, and institutional aid programs, regulations, and guidelines by participating in professional development activities – attend financial aid training and conferences to keep up wit
