Shifts available for this position: Northview (North Ogden) Senior Center's meal programs: Monday-Friday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (3 hours/day) Total of 15 hours/week). Monday Friday, 11 am 2 pm (3 hours/day) Total 15 hours/week. Job Description: Set up the dining room and kitchen for serving lunch. Receive food when delivered and record temperatures. Maintain proper food temperatures. With the assistance of volunteers serves meals to the seniors. Clean and sanitize the dining room, kitchen, and equipment after lunch. Prepare leftover food and pans to be returned to the central kitchen. Wash trays and utensils in the dishwasher. Maintain cleanliness and operation of all kitchen equipment. Recruit, train, and assign volunteers to assist with meal service, set-up & clean-up of the dining room and kitchen areas. Attend training & meetings as required. Order supplies needed from the central kitchen on approved order forms. Organize and monitor inventory usage. Communicate any problems or concerns about the meals to the Food Service Supervisor or Nutrition Program manager on a daily basis if needed. Complete all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. With a volunteer, the center director or meals driver - count the daily meal donations - write receipts, and put in a locked bag to return to the nutrition center. High school graduate; Ability to communicate effectively in English through written and verbal skills Will be required to earn Food Handler Permit from the local health department Ability to work independently in a timely and efficient manner Valid Utah Driver's License and clean driving record (i.e., no more than one violation) Ability to lift 40 pounds Experience working with the senior citizen population from diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
