This position, under the supervision of the Maintenance Director, Assistant Directors, and indirectly under the supervision of the General Manager and Owners, is responsible for the overall condition and maintenance of The Swag gardens, and green spaces, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and quality are maintained. The Gardener creates a working environment that results in positive relationships among employees and guests.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIESMaintain garden and green spaces (GandG)Establishes and follows a schedule for routine care of GandGInstall landscapes and seasonal flower designsProvide flower arrangements for dinning room and guestsMonitor and ensure plant healthInstall and maintain seasonal plantsTrim, Water, and fertilize GandGMulch, Edge and weed GandGPrune and trim trees and bushesDeal with pest problems that could damage plantsKeep GandG clear of debris and litterHas the proven ability in providing excellent guest servicesKeep tool sheds and barns organizedDemonstrate the ability to be an effective leader and teach fellow team membersHelp all visitors, guests and staff members feel respectedIs personable, reliable, honest, and detail orientedThe Swag BenefitsThe Gardener position is a ten-month position from March 1st through December.
