Maintain the building floors and hallways; windows, ceilings, and walls; clean and maintain supplies in restrooms; perform grounds maintenance; clean assigned state-maintained sidewalks and parking lots; operate, maintain and make minor repairs on building and mechanical equipment.
This position is an onsite position located at Willmar MnDOT. Hours are 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
Minimum Qualifications
Different types of flooring and floor coverings sufficient to determine proper methods of maintenance and cleaning
Chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, anti-bacterial, bleaches, scouring agents and soaps sufficient to appropriately select the agent(s), handle, apply and dispose of safely
Methods, hand and power tools and equipment used in maintenance sufficient to use effectively and operate safely and to make minor repairs
Painting products and the processes of applying.
Class D Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
Special boilers license
Experience operating powered lawncare/snow removal equipment
Commercial janitorial experience
Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this job will vary, but may include:
Lifting objects up to 70 pounds.
Transferring objects of various weights.
Walking, moving, standing for long period of time.
Sitting with pushing or pulling of arm and leg controls.
Strenuous physical labor including hauling, crawling, bending, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
Working above ground level (e.g., on ladders and scaffolding).
A pre-placement physical examination is required for this position.
