Capgemini focuses on 11 priority Industry sectors, including ‘High-Tech.’ High-Tech is a broad group of sectors, including Consumer Electronics, Networking, Computer Hardware, Software, Platforms (including Hyper-scalers) and Semiconductors. The Semiconductor sector is made up to Fabless Semi, Capital Equipment, and IDMs / Foundries. The Global High-Tech Industry Practice defines strategy, creates offers to bring to market, leads industry marketing, builds community and expertise, and supports large account sales.

To build on Capgemini’s global position in Strategy (Invent) and Technology Services, Capgemini acquired the world’s largest Engineering Services firm Altran in 2019 creating Capgemini Engineering Research & Development (ER&D).Capgemini Engineering notably includes a differentiated services powerhouse in Silicon Engineering, based notably on the world’s largest chip design ER&D services workforce (2000 engineers) with experience and expertise in the most advances nodes. Capgemini also brings deep technological expertise to Semiconductor clients building ‘chip to industry’ solutions. The ER&D practice has thousands of world-class software engineers in the Software Product Engineering practice building bespoke solutions in Semiconductor. From Silicon Engineering to Embedded Engineering to Digital / Cloud development, Capgemini is truly ‘full-stack’. Who is the Global Semiconductor Leader
Also known at Capgemini as a ‘Trend Leader,’ the Global Semiconductor Leader has the same role as the High-Tech Industry Practice but focused solely on the tightly integrated Semiconductor industry. Success in this role has many tasks – offer creation, marketing, community building, orchestration and sales but only two outcomes to focus on – First, grow profitable sales of Capgemini’s full suite of services in the Semiconductor Industry through compelling offers; and second, build Capgemini’s relevance as “The Indispensable partner for semiconductor clients in defining and building what’s next.”
Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $250,000 to $ 375,000.
This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
Our Ideal Candidate
Demonstrable experience in Semiconductor vertical, ideally with both business & technology & 15 years of experience
Deep understanding of Semiconductor business models, processes & systems at a techno-functional level spanning the Fabless, Capital Equipment, and IDM / foundry segments
Understanding of Semiconductor market and industry trends, opportunities, threats. Ability to articulate what’s next and how technology and company capabilities can address
Exceptional communicator with executive presence. Ability to influence & develop relationships in both business & technology
Ability to craft strategic offers / products for the industry
Experience designing and implementing world-class marketing programs
Proven ability to drive teams and influence a broadly matrixed global organization without direct reporting structures
Ability to combine the different businesses of the group and to cooperate with the main practices of the Semiconductor sector (Silicon Engineering and Software Engineering) to fuel the industry growth
Strong written skills and creativity
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree in technical field or MBA highly desired
Must be willing to travel extensively, including internationally
