We are looking for a Health Workforce Diversity Program Manager to join UHG’s Social Responsibility team within UHG’s Sustainability organization and help advance UHG’s commitment to health equity. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Health Equity Philanthropy, this individual will be responsible for managing multiple philanthropic partners and supporting the successful implementation and ongoing operations of scaled programs offering scholarships and support services to current and future clinical professionals across the United States.

Drive impactful philanthropic partner cultivation efforts to advance our declared health workforce diversity goals
Identify new potential grant partnerships that align with prioritized areas of focus and engage with targeted non-profit organizations to develop high-quality grant proposals with clear objectives, metrics, and desired outcomes
Manage multiple philanthropic partnerships, including monitoring progress against program goals and adherence to budget
Proactively identify risks to successful and timely grant execution and engage with grant partner and internal colleagues to resolve
Drive efforts to effectively and creatively engage scholarship recipients, such as through educational convenings, virtual and in-person programming, and regular communications
Identify learnings and best practices, and continuously refine program operations to deepen our impact
In collaboration with UHG Communications and others, identify and execute strategic visibility opportunities that showcase the value and results of our health workforce diversity initiatives

7+ years of professional experience in health care, public health, social services or related field
3+ years of experience managing large-scale projects with multiple workstreams
Sharp analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, high emotional intelligence, and ability to use good judgment in nuanced situations
Experience managing projects with multiple workstreams
Solid leadership driving large scale initiatives across multiple business units and strong interpersonal skills with ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders
Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written deliverables, including executive memos and PowerPoint presentations to executive audiences
Highly motivated and engaged team player who is comfortable leading in ambiguous situations and developing new relationships
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to travel within the United States approximately 15%

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only : The salary range for Colorado/Connecticut/Nevada residents is $113,500 to $218,100. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
