Under the direction of senior members of the Identity Management team, administers end-user account and application system security and provisioning for all Advocate Aurora Health sites in a complex security environment. Provides user access to email, EPIC and other Advocate Aurora Health applications based on requests submitted by users and user representatives. Directly involved with the timely suspension of application system and network access rights as necessary when appropriate termination notice is received.
Recommend automation to improve efficiency of granting and revoking employee access. Performs access control processes across multiple systems and environments. Utilize PowerShell for complex access related tasks. Assists with the identification of security risks and exposures by participating in security reviews, evaluations and risk assessments. Initiates root-cause analysis and solves complex end-user and system access problems. Tracks and trends problems and makes recommendations towards resolution. Performs routine user access security data gathering and administration activities. Provide input to and support for the development, implementation and monitoring of all security access processes and procedures at all sites.
Documents standards and procedures used to complete the duties of the Identity Management team and ensures documentation is regularly reviewed and updated. Adheres to, communicates and enforces Advocate Aurora Health’s Security policies and standards. Supports the identification of user access security risks and exposures. Performs monitoring of security access processes and procedures. Assists with the execution of identity management projects. Collaborates with architecture, systems administrators, applications development and network engineering on infrastructure projects that relate to systems access and security.
Functions as a liaison between on-site HIT staff, Service Desk Analysts, Customer Support, system administrators and the security solutions team. Provides identity management training for HIT staff members.Scheduled Hours
Licenses & Certifications
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field.
Required Functional Experience
Typically requires 2 years of experience in application security and system administration in a like-sized system environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of IT security and access provisioning.Understanding of directory structures such as LDAP and Microsoft Active Directory and end user authentication.Knowledge of PowerShell for scripting complex access related tasks.Project management skills with the ability to manage and complete multiple projects and assignments concurrently.Ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and complete multiple assignments concurrently.Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to advise and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.Due to the dynamic nature of the information security threats and vulnerabilities, the incumbent will be expected to maintain a high level of current technical knowledge.
