Job Summary:
The Human Resource Intern will provide support to the Human Resources (HR) department through multiple administrative and customer service avenues. This is a great learning opportunity for individuals pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Operations, or related fields to learn some of the key areas of HR and HR-related tasks required for essential business functions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Support recruitment activities
Data entry into HRIS
Auditing personnel files
Participation in department and recruitment meetings
Other projects as determined based on department needs and student interests
Education and Experience:
Pursuing a Bachelors/Graduate degree in Human Resources, Business, or related fields
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to hear and communicate with clients and staff via phone and in person
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Must have vision that is adequate to read memo’s computer screen, registration forms, and other documents.
Must possess manual dexterity, to perform writing and keyboarding tasks.
Must be able to sit for extended period of time
