The WKU Department of Theatre & Dance seeks a one-year instructor of acting and directing for the 2023-2024 academic year. This individual will primarily teach courses in our acting and directing curriculum, as well as courses in support of the WKU Colonnade program. Course may include Acting I, Acting II, Playing Shakespeare, Acting for the Camera, Directing I, Directing II, Theatre Appreciation, Culture and Performance, and possible courses in the candidate's areas of expertise. Additional duties will include work on behalf of the department in the areas of recruiting, front of house, and marketing.
This position is currently being filled as a temporary position with an end date; however, it has the potential to become a regular ongoing appointment.
Job Requirements:
Terminal degree, M.F.A. or Ph.D., in the field of theatre
