Overview: Guerdon, LLC is seeking applicants for experienced Journeyman Electrician for new construction of commercial and multi-family housing. Our ideal candidates will possess prior experience in the commercial/residential construction field. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a high level of organization and a strong attention to detail are essential. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturer installation instructions, and ensure product is built to standards under tight timelines. Responsibilities & Learned Skills Include: • Install wiring, and fixtures, following electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics, and blueprints. • Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment. • Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments. • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader, and conduit bender. • Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean. • Work with building principals, engineering staff and supervisors to complete projects. • Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures. Special Knowledge/Skills: • Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring and operating principles of commercial buildings • Knowledge of local electrical codes • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions • Ability to perform mathematical calculations • Ability to diagnose and resolve problems • Ability to use hand and power tools • Reflect good leadership qualities and promote a team environment Requirements: • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks. • Properly reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. • Proficient knowledge in commercial/residential construction and other structures. • Ability to organize and work in a fast-paced environment. • Complaint with local, city, state, and national electrical codes. • Ability to work overtime. • Compliance to all safety guidelines and procedures. Physical Requirements: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, and kneel. • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials. • Must be able to lift and carry 50Ibs. • Moderately loud noise level.
