StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a Part-Time, Engineering Technologist and Technician, Junior, to join our team in supporting the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) in Orlando, Fl. NAWCTSD is the Navy’s principal center for modeling, simulation and training systems technologies. The Engineering Technologist, Junior will be responsible for the following duties:
Essential Job Functions:
Support laboratory and other technical efforts with emphasis on computer hardware, software, modeling and simulation, and human performance.
Perform work assignments of limited scope and difficulty designed to provide advanced practical application and experience of theories and principles in engineering and scientific fields of specialization.
Assist higher level professional personnel by carrying out complete projects of limited scope or narrow aspects of broader projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Completion of a minimum of 60 hours of undergraduate course work including the foundational sciences and mathematics typically associated with the first two years of a specified major’s curriculum.
Requires knowledge of scientific and engineering principles and theories of the type, scope, and thoroughness typically acquired through the course of study in a field of relevant technical specialization.
Basic knowledge of computer programming, electronics, problem definition and analysis, research methods, data analysis, and presentation of results.
Ability to communicate with clarity and correct grammar and mechanics
Enrolled in an accredited educational institution and pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in a relevant scientific or technical field.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Minimum Secret clearance required OR must be eligible to apply and be granted interim DoD interim clearance prior to employment.
