The primary application that GDIT supports is the Healthcare Integrated General Ledger Accounting System (HIGLAS) which is a very large complex system for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). With approximately 3,000 total users, processing an average of 4.5 million transactional claim records per day, this equates to over $1.2 billion annually. There are an average of 46,000 new account receivables and 168,000 payments processed per day along with 20,000 queries/reports run daily. Utilizing Oracle Federal Financials as the base application of HIGLAS, it provides CMS with a uniform financial management system to account for over $1 Trillion in outlays for healthcare each year across multiple lines of business.
Job Description:
As a Junior Program Analyst you will perform a variety of analytical duties. You will participate in the core activities of running a project to support the Oracle Business Intelligence implementation at CMS. Additional duties include:
Responsibilities and Duties:
Creating project and training documentation.
Assist internal and external stakeholders with inquiries.
Contact other groups and to resolve issues. Provide both verbal and written responses.
Analyze and prepare program status reports.
Prepare weekly reports to management.
Create PowerPoint presentations.
Develop project implementation schedules using Microsoft Project.
Evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in a program setting.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
BS in Business, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
0-3 years of related experience.
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to critically evaluate requirements and determine best solutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to suggest process changes.
Ability to learn and implement new processes quickly.
Ability to “think on your feet” and solve problems quickly.
Nice to Have:
Collaborating and communicating effectively with multiple teams and customer.
Willing to learn and implement new ideas.
Knowledge of Agile methodology
Knowledge of Business Intelligence applications, such as Tableau, OBIEE, PowerBuilder
